Whether you are struggling with anxiety or hopelessness, stuck in patterns or navigating a big life transition, I offer a compassionate, judgement-free space to help you understand yourself better and reconnect with your authentic self.
Hi, I’m Eléonore
You’ve been looking for a therapist in Geneva, but you wonder whether I am the right one for you?
I am one of the only therapists in Geneva to practice transpersonal psychology (or ‘psychology of the soul’), which recognises our potential for inspiration, creativity and a higher purpose. We will explore all that your mind, body and soul have to reveal.
Below are some of the hallmarks of my therapeutic approach:
I regard my clients with empathy, non-judgement and deep respect.
Tuning into the wisdom of your body sensations, dreams and imagination.
I believe everyone has the ability to grow and change.
Reaching a quiet place within to hear the voice that knows.
Guided visualisations, drawing or role play help us gain insights.
Honouring you as both a human and a spiritual being.

Therapy was always such a daunting thing for me, and I turned to it when I felt truly lost. Meeting Eléonore felt like the stars had aligned; I couldn’t have asked for a kinder and wiser therapist. I now recommend therapy to everyone because it has truly been one of the most life-changing things I’ve done. It strengthened my self-awareness and allowed me to meet my true self for the first time in a long time. This was the first time I ever felt safe to express my inner feelings, and it was all thanks to Eléonore. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone reading this to go for the initial session. Showing up each week for two and a half years felt like taking tiny baby steps, but looking back, it has completely transformed who I am today. I will always be incredibly grateful to Eléonore for this.
New country, new job, new life situations; it all seemed a bit too overwhelming. I never thought I’d need psychotherapy, but looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. And finding Eléonore was part of it. Each time I walked from our sessions, it was like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. She made me feel truly listened to, understood and comforted, and she has shown me that I can do that for myself too. Our sessions allowed me to think and communicate in much healthier ways, with myself and people I love. I’m grateful for having met Eléonore and recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you!
Working with Eléonore has been transformative for me. I was struggling with work-related stress and anxiety, but with her support, I was able to navigate through it. She is not only a great therapist but also an exceptional listener who truly understands and creates a safe, non-judgmental space. Her guidance helped me regain my confidence and find healthier ways to cope. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an effective therapist who really cares about her clients’ well-being.
I was nervous about starting therapy, but Eléonore is professional, comforting, insightful and an excellent listener! Even via Zoom, she created such a safe space for me to open up and explore my feelings. I both laughed and cried but never once felt judged. I’m so grateful for all of Eléonore’s help, it’s had a hugely positive impact on me, and I couldn’t recommend her enough. Thank you!
I started seeing Eléonore at a time when I was at my lowest, a time when I was unable to make sense of the things that were happening to me / the choices I was making. Nothing in therapy is a quick fix (we wish!) but having someone to guide you on the reasons your brain works a certain way is critical to you being able to have patience to then do the hard work. She was instrumental in my journey and I am grateful to her.
I offer in-person counselling sessions in Geneva. There are generally 4 main stages we will go through together. Each journey is different and it is not always linear, and that’s OK.
We start with an assessment session, after which we decide whether we wish to continue working together.
We continue with 4-5 sessions, building trust and safety between us. If needed, we adjust depth, pace and focus.
As weekly sessions evolve, we are generally becoming more skilled at noticing and understanding your belief and behaviour patterns.Potential for change emerges.
We complete with 2-3 closing sessions, grounding learnings and ensuring emotional stability.
Before choosing a therapist in Geneva, it’s natural to have questions.
A qualified therapist can provide support in many situations:
Your feeling of dissatisfaction with life – or a specific issue – is recurrent or simply taking up too much of your headspace and energy. You are distressed and don’t know who to turn to. Speaking with friends and family isn’t enough, and you want to see change in the way you feel. You are ready to explore the way in which you function and to become actively aware of what is hurting and limiting you so that you can start changing your life.
The first session is our opportunity to get to know each other and see if we would like to work together. Often, your most pressing issue will be explored – even superficially to begin with – and you might feel some relief to have just got it off your chest and to have been able to speak to me freely, without fear of judgement.
Each session is a safe space for you to talk openly about what’s on your mind. I listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and help you explore patterns and feelings you might not see clearly on your own. We work together at your pace, using talk therapy alongside practical tools like breathing techniques, visualisation, or role play when helpful. There’s no judgement, just genuine support as you work towards understanding yourself better.
I am not reimbursed by LaMal, but if you have a prescription and complementary insurance, they may cover sessions with me. Most international and UN insurances do also cover sessions with me. Please contact your insurance provider to find out exactly what is included in your policy and mention that I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Registered Member 395057.
Each session is 50 minutes long. We meet once a week, always at the same time on the same day. This regularity and consistency creates safety, trust and allows for deepening of our work together.
Working on a specific, limited issue – otherwise known as brief therapy – typically takes around 12 weeks. Longer-term therapy can last anywhere between several months to several years. Each journey is different, and we will take stock and adapt together depending on your specific needs.
I do not work with individuals under 18 years of age.
No, I am not a doctor/psychiatrist and therefore cannot assess personality disorders, pathologies, ADHD, autism or any other medical condition, nor can I prescribe medication. I am a counsellor and can support you through short-term or longer term talk therapy, which can run in parallel to seeing a psychiatrist. I have a large network of English-speaking mental health professionals in Geneva, so if we agree that you would benefit from additional support, I will gladly refer you to other specialists.
